I consult and perform cataract operations at Exeter Eye which is located at Admiral House.  This is a purpose built facility with state-of-the art equipment. All surgery here is performed under local anaesthetic as a day-case procedure with a consultant anaesthetist available to administer the anaesthetic and provide sedation if needed for patients who are anxious.  I also have the ability to perform more complex surgery at the West of England Eye Unit which is my NHS base under general or local anaesthesia.  This takes place in the early evening on a Tuesday after my routine NHS list.
