Peter Simcock was invited to give a talk on how to perform a particular type of retinal detachment operation often associated with trauma at a meeting called “TRAUMATOLOGIA ED URGENZE IN OCULISTICA”  at San Giovanni Rotondo in Puglia on the 13th of September  2024.  The meeting was in Italian but with excellent immediate translation.  It was organised by a previous Italian trainee who had worked in Exeter with Peter.  As expected from the Italians, the hospitality was excellent and a great location despite being unlucky with the rain!
